Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has revealed that he would sell starlet Kylian Mbappe for ‘a billion euros’.
Mbappe joined PSG from Monaco last summer, initially on loan, with the deal now set to be made permanent for a fee of up to £157million.
If Mbappe was available for transfer he would certainly command a lot of interest, but PSG are determined to retain the services of the 19-year-old.
As reported by le10Sport via CalcioMercato, Al-Khelaifi said: ‘You want me to give you a number? More than a billion euros. Yes, I said one billion. And even if you gave me a billion, I wouldn’t sell him.’
In his first season at PSG Mbappe scored 21 goals across all competitions, while he also impressed with his linkup play as he provided 16 assists.
Mbappe helped PSG to win the Ligue 1 title as well as the Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue.
Possessing blistering speed and and excellent technique, Mbappe is an extremely difficult player to defend against.
This summer Mbappe will hope to make a major impact for France at the World Cup.
